Hi,

I work at a hospital with a proxy that does not allow the 'yum' command to access the internet for direct downloads. Is there a tarball of the newest version of medinria available anywhere? Or an alternate installation method for linux? I am currently using v1.9, but am interested in upgrading to the newer version.

Thanks,
Ryan

At the moment, no we don't offer anything but .rpm or .deb package files. But I'm a little surprised to hear that your hospital proxy manages to block yum downloads, since it's just regular HTTP, ie. if you are able to visit this link : med.inria.fr/yum/fedora/ then it should work in yum too.

Also you always have the possibility of downloading the .rpm files separately by visiting the above link, then installing them using rpm -ivh <file.rpm> . It's a bit tedious, but it should work.

Is there a possibility to get the src.rpm so that i could rebuild the fedeora RPMs for Scientific Linux?
